ellaselenelupin, hogwartshoney, remusseverus and I were talking on IM last night about costumes. ellaselenelupin found an awesome link on German e-bay, which prompted me to do a search there. I came across one I really liked, they're professional, fairly big sized, and the prices are good. So I decided to see if they speak English, so I can recommend them. And lo and behold, they do. Got a very nice email back, really helpful and all.

So, my recommendation would be, to look at the site, describing all their clothing in great detail, in English, go here. Do not buy there because their UK prices are a good bit higher than their prices on the German site, and I was assured that they take queries in English. To order, once you know the name of the garment you're after (they're identical on both sites), go to their German site. What's best, their garments is made to measure, and I found the prices reallly reasonable.

They also sell on ebay.

EDIT: The German site does indeed mail into the US, S&P is Euro 15. All you have to do is e-mail your order to service at dornblut.de, and you can do it in English.

I'll be able to tell you how heavy it is cuz Dorkboy told me to buy one when we get back from England. :-)

When I sent the first email to them I did mention that most of us are in the US. But I've just sent off another one asking if they really ship only to German addresses! Will let you know their answer.

Okay, I just got an email from them. They do ship to the US if you wish. The shipping costs are 15€ for that.

And the dresses weigh from 500g to 1,5kg, but they're usually under 1kg.

Yep, that's what they told me, too. They said to e-mail the order to the German address or order directly from the .uk address, but the prices are higher there.

You ladies totally rock! Awesome! Thank you both so much for finding all this out for those of us who are linguistically challenged. LOL! I'm thrilled at how everything is working out! Woo hoo! I noticed that Shiv was wondering about the material, but I a willing to buy one at the price. I still have a ways to go before I can order one, so let me know how yours turns out, Karelia. :)
