I don't think there will be other places than LJ... I think it's LJ or nothing, because people don't like change and if they are forced to leave, they might not go somewhere else.

But LJ getting worse is the main reason why I didn't buy a permanent account, (7 years on LJ, I'm not sure at all!!!) but I also know I did renew my paid account two months earlier because the Dollar has been so weak that I saved a few euros!!
