If you want a basic and thoroughly awesome introduction to cooking Indian food that is easy to follow, I'd recommend any of Madhur Jaffrey's cookbooks, which I'm sure you can locate on half.com or amazon. I learned to cook Indian food at the feet of a woman from India, but Madhur Jaffrey is indispensable to me too.

And now I'm going to have to try this curry, because it sounds delish.
