Headaches are not conducive to writing.

That is all.

I agree. When I have a headache, I am miserable.

I'm assuming you've taken aspirin/tylenol/ibuprofen already. I have often been surprised to find that if I will take a decongestant, such as suphedrine (Sudafed, the li'l red pills), my headache will clear right up. Particularly in allergy seasons, I have headaches complicated by sinus congestion.

I stayed away from the computer (looking at the screen made it worse), had a glass of wine and went to bed. Thankfully, it's gone this morning. I always find sleep is the best cure for such occasions. :-)

I'm a firm advocate of Excedrin, myself. Several years ago, I had a headache that lasted DAYS. Went to the Dr. It wasn't a migraine because of how/where it hurt and the fact that having my husband rub the back of my head would lessen the pain for a bit. Dr. decided that it was tension headache and gave me a prescription pain pill specifically for headaches. When I compared the ingredients, I found that only one was different between Excedrin (apap, aspirin, & caffeine) and my Fioricet (apap, butalbital, & caffeine). While the Excedrin doesn't completely kill the really bad headaches, they take care of just about everything else.
