Hurricane devastation

Well, I managed to speak to one aunt in LA, they're fine. I'm grateful that Aunt M is alright. They have no electricity or phone service, but are alright. Their home is okay, all they lost is a few trees and the roof of the garage. Their daughter is trying to get a generator to them, so they'll have some ice and cool air. Temps are exceeding 100 degrees there, with unbearable humidity. My cousin is trying her best to help with rescuing animals. Of course, the powers that be are helping with regard to people, but who thinks of the abandoned pets and livestock, but private caring people. This is just too sad. The headlines are full of stories about looters in New Orleans. What about all the people who ignore their own hurricane induced problems and work their arses off to rescue lives?????????
