It´s hot outside
Two days till Halloween...
... and it’s still as warm as any ordinary Summer’s day! The top temp today was 26C (79F I think), and honestly, I remember plenty of June/July/August days when it was half that! This is the end of October, and in this part of the world, one expects half that warmth, clouds and rain, and the occasional frost by now, honestly.
I finally did manage to send e-mails, upload stuff and send files today. We went into town (the German one) and I sneaked off while Dorkboy humoured Little One, going to Saturn, the multi-media store and then McDonald’s with the playground.
Now, all I need to be entirely happy is two tickets to NO. Hopefully by Thursday I’ll have them. Then I can start getting nervous about meeting my family I never knew I had. *gasp* I’m going to meet my brother. MY BIG BROTHER!!!! And Aunt M! You know, the one who’s been sending me loads of American goody stuff, like corn bread mixes and the like, and fruit-by-the-foot for the kidlets. I’m gonna meet her in person! YEAH! And Aunt B, whom I’ve spoken by phone a few times, yeah, only a few times, ‘cuz she doesn’t do computers. And T, her daughter, yep, my cousin. A real cousin, I have! And not only one! I have loads of cousins! *looks_very_proud*. I’m getting seriously excited about it all, I mean, you don’t meet family you didn’t know you have, every day, do you? And maybe, just maybe, I’ll be lucky enough to meet Southern, too *looks_hopeful*.
Okay, enough rambling now. I’ll be good and get off and return to writing. :-)
