It does make me wonder several things... One, why stay part of a group that you find so beneath you? Two, why is a community needed to sit around and complain about things? That's what I use my LJ for. :-) Three, what was so offensive about someone asking about a very popular, well-liked author? True, the original poster ignored all the normal ways to contact an author (and I really think everyone knows Southern is an administrator at the Petulant Poetess, has her own Yahoo group, has an LJ, and is on archives with the e-mail function available), but it seems to me the person who posted it was more upset that they were asking about SW69, rather than asking.
It's pretty tacky to lift posts from a Yahoo group and print them out or quote them. But this is it the first time it's been done and I doubt it will be the last. Someone e-mailed me recently to direct my attention to an LJ post. The person had several, unhappy things to say about one of my affiliates. I was shocked, because I thought we were on good terms. Then I noticed the date was March 2005.
You have to love troublemakers because you can't legally beat them.
I'm going to blame this recent rash of negativity going through the community on the heat. Either that, or some fangirls forgot to take their Wolfsbane Potion.
And in honor of potential sock puppets everywhere, I present my icon.
