Saturday in Cologne
Yesterday morning, shortly after we woke up, Dorkboy suggested we'd go to Cologne. No particular reason, just because. We readily agreed. After all, Little Man and I like Cologne, we've had fun there, so off we went.
Pantomimes abounded, we found some pavement art, and there were far too manydunderheads people, but alas, we did have a very good time. Especially in the Sales *squees*.

Little Man with one of the pantomimes. I wonder how they manage to keep their make-up on; after all, it did get quite warm! And all that heavy clothing, makes me sweat just thinking about it.

And here's one for
lady_rhian. I'm assuming this is where Severus purchased his Birkenstocks.

Boy did they have nice shoes! But none in my size in the sales *pouts*

New shoes, courtesy of Dorkboy. The sales had some true bargains in them, like these shoes. The picture also shows the latest addition to our family, a pink flamingo. For reasons I'm sure you can imagine, she's been named Charmed Honey! You gals rock! Thank you ever so much. She fits right in with us and will travel with us to London next week!
In other news, chapter 8 has been in the queues since Friday morning, so I'm hoping it'll be posted in the next day or three.
The young witch appeared in the kitchen, muttered “Morning” and yawned.
“Morning. Here, have a wake-up potion,” he said, smirking, and handed her a cup of steaming black coffee.
She rewarded him with a mischievous grin. “Thanks—I think. My reputation must be really bad if it drives you to offering me coffee.”
He smirked. “There is that. Plus the hope that the caffeine will keep us alert.”
They finished their coffee in silence. Hermione went back upstairs to pick up the Orgone pieces. Together, they left quietly, heading towards the communication tower.
Chapter 9 is progressing nicely, too. Seeing that I'll be on another, longer train journey next weekend, I expect the chapter to be completed sometime next w/end. And I'll even have a computer to type it all up. :-)

I try to avoid the sales, I want to save as much money as I can. But cool new shoes!

I can't avoid the sales this year. I spent about two years with one pair of shoes at a time, and only replaced them when they really, seriously needed replacing. So this year, when I find a pair of shoes I like and they're not expensive, I'll go for it. :-) And I'll admit I've developed a weakness for the All Stars. It's the colours. :-))

You think I did Strange Meeting? Wow, because I think who ever did that fic is a much better writer than I am! I feel honored.
I am not deft enough to write quotes without an identifier.
A dead giveaway :).
My fic is The High Cost of Casual Wishes, for Usagistu.
I posted my guesses :).

Yeah, I had the same problem. The first part of it flowed really well (and early), and suddenly the deadline was approaching and I started panicking. Ah well. I think it'be been a wonderful experience and I've learned a lot. :-)

Kool shoes!! Really cool, and the street art is beyond fab!
Nice touch with the 'taste of Chap 8' - you've studied marketing, I'm sure! LOL
Hope that my life gets back on track soon! The muse has been whispering Snupin plotlines to me, so I'm concentrating on that and chap 12 of Wizards/Champions.
Much love to all!

Thank you, my sweet. Isn't the street art gorgeous. I'm so going back there on another sunny day!
Snupin, eh? :-) Sounds curious. Will read when it's ready.
Happy *life back on track* vibes to you and Charmed310!

Yeah, Snupin. I actually feel really good about it, and it has a certain 'vibe' to it that none of my other stories have had. Will certainly let you know when it's done!

Actually, the Muggle Studies professor (I named him Johnny something) bought the Birkenstocks for our lovely Severus, but I can see him ordering more pairs for himself. :) I'm so flattered that you remembered that!
And yes, there are some awesome shoes at that store.

All Severus has to do is tap his wand to the picture and place the order. ;-)
