What a day
First of all, thank you everybody for the birthday wishes, it made the day all the more special, receiving good wishes I didn't expect. Bambu, the cake was wonderful, and the confetti looks ever so pretty on the carpet. :-))
A special thanks to
charmed310 for the drabble she wrote me, with the prompt "The Sentient Mushroom". It is most beautiful, highly original, and well worth the quick read.
I've had the most beautiful day, and I have the pictures to prove it
I was gifted with a new mansion. :-)

A baby grand piano, all to myself, in the front room, which will serve as the music room.

The door to the music room, decorated with a beautiful peacock because Dorkboy's favourite window-painting artist doesn't like flamingoes

The chandelier in the living room

A separate tv-room ::dances the happy dance::

The sofa in the living room. I might switch the tvs off and meditate in there instead.

The pool room, although, considering the fabric-adorned walls, I might just use it as a recording room.

The lights over the pool table

One of the beds, this one a very fluffy one, with PJs waiting on top of the fluff, built-in radio and several mirrors towards the top

This chair is positively the most comfortable one!

And the view from outside.
Just kidding! We went to visit Graceland because dd and I share the birthday with the King of Rock'n'Roll, and it's something we thought would be fun. It was both fun and funny. Every time one of us said "But... because it's my birthday," the other went "No, it's mine," and we had many birthday wishes from passers-by, and one guy looked at us really disbelieving and said "What, it's both your birthdays?" We said yes, and he still wasn't sure whether or not to believe us, LOL.
A wonderful day that I'm reluctant to end. :-)
A special thanks to

I saw your name up in the HP Friending Meme, and since we've chatted a few times in PP chat I'm Friending you, if you don't mind.

Oh, yes, I positively drooled. I really had no idea what exactly to expect, but I would have been far less surprised if the place had been, ya know, over the top. It wasn't. Instead, the atmosphere was positively homey, with emphasis on comfort as well as beauty and individualism, right my taste.
