Eats, Shoots & Leaves is an amusing read, but as an actual guide, I found it to be too inflexible to be useful. Thankfully, [livejournal.com profile] notsosaintly has found the answer to it here. I absolutely must rush to the bookstore tomorrow. I hope they have it.

It reminds me of English for Runaways, which causes never-ending giggles for German/English speakers. One-wall-free language, yup.

I have never read "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves," but I am currently reading "Sin & Syntax" and I am in love. I've never really taken the time to read grammar/style manuals, but I think it is possibly better than eating peanut butter straight out of the jar.

OMG *dies*. I think I would prefer being Crucio'd than having to eat peanut butter, but I see my daughter do that with utter delight, so I take it you love peanut butter. LOL

I've not even heard of Sin & Syntax, how behind am I? No, don't answer that. I've noted the title down cuz I'm definitely going to the bookstore tomorrow.

LOL brilliant, I say

And sadly, some people swear by "Eat, Shoots, and Leaves..."

I'm like, "It's not reputable, it's some chick entertaining us with her opinions on grammar."
