Hair
The eleven-year-old boy stared at the pretty girl, who was having an animated conversation with another student. She was not just pretty, no. There was something about her that caught his attention. Strength. Pure, raw, unhindered female strength. He knew in his very core that she would be the perfect wife for him one day.

When he was fourteen, at the end of his third year, his heart broke. She would be leaving Hogwarts, having just sat her NEWTs. He needed to talk to her. Finally. She'd probably laugh at him, but he would simply have to take that risk.
"Hey, Molly! Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure." The pretty girl with the perfect shade of red hair, its length complete perfection, its silkiness undescribably beautiful, with legs shaped to perfection, and boobs that he just knew were made for his hands, smiled at him openly.

He'd just received the owl informing him how he did on his OWLs. Sitting in his lavishly oak-furnished bedroom, at his 300-year-old oak desk inherited from his great-grandfather, he pondered for a moment which quill to use. Molly always delighted in figuring out the quill he wrote correspondence with. Then, deciding on an antique goose feather, he took the quill and dipped it in the ink, ready to write on the parchment in front of him.
Dear Molly,
I have just received my OWL results. I am ever so pleased. Except for Divination, I received Es and Os. Divination is an F, of course, but then, I expected that.
I do hope you are well. Would you be opposed to meeting sometime? I would love to take you to Fortescue's and treat you to a nice ice cream. Just let me know if and when would suit you.

"Hello, Molly," Lucius replied. She looked positively gorgeous in her pettycoat type skirt that wasn't quite a skirt but more a robe and her fitted blouse. "What would you like to eat?"
Molly studied the menu in her typically serious manner and then looked up, smiling. "Thank you for inviting me, Lucius." She returned to the menu and blushed. "Ah, I think I'll have the Amortensia Bliss Sundae." She blushed and added, "It's just, I really like their mango ice cream, and it's in none of their other sundaes."
Lucius smirked internally. This was the perfect start for what he wanted to say. "No, no, that's fine, Molly." He cleared his throat discreetly. "Actually, I wanted to talk to you about..."
Molly's eyes rested on his face. "About?"
"Molly. I... I have been in love with you the moment I laid eyes on you when I entered Hogwarts. You are perfection. Will you marry me?"
Molly's eyes widened at his words. "Uh..." She squirmed in her seat. "Lucius, I am honoured, honestly. But..."
His face fell.
"No. It would not be right. Your family likes the Dark. I don't. I need Light in order to exist. And—" her voice reduced to a whisper, "—I feel comfortable with Arthur. At least his hair is no competition for mine."
sunnythirty3 dared me to write to the following prompt: Now, it is a rarely known secret that the reason Lucius hates Arthur Weasley is that he seriously fancied Molly, who was a few years ahead of him at Hogwarts. Why did she turn him down?

I just love snarking and sneering at Weasleys. There are a couple of Mollys who will be at Terminus and like at Phoenix Rising, there will be much (planned) snarking all over the con between us ;-) ... I do think the Families in Fandom panel is a goal for this, with a Molly in attendance and one presenting.
