Crude, Purple or Have a Laugh

I was chatting with [livejournal.com profile] melenka, and she pointed out a thread on the absolutewrite forum. It gave me the best laugh in a while. From purple prose to downright crude and sleazy, you find it all in there, with a few extras thrown in that had us both in stitches.

Go here.

Omg! I almost died laughing reading this! And right before bed, too. My poor husband (who is, God bless him, doing his half of cleaning up the kitchen right now) probably wonders why I'm expiring of laughter here in the computer chair.

My favs:

"mounting"---ok, there is a REASON for my moniker of "countrymouse", and when I read that word in an...ahem...intimate scene, all I can think of is the various livestock on our farm, and BELIEVE me, it's ANYHING BUT romantic.

But this one was the one that cracked me up--
the reference to "well tended br***** " as reminding someone of :

I'd like my chicken extra-crispy please....

Oooohhhh, I know what you mean! I used to have a small flock of sheep: 8 sheep with one ram. Mounting is NOT romantic and certainly not pleasant to see, lol.

*snickers* I think the ladygarden is my favourite so far. Thank goodness I haven't seen that in any fic!

Did you say Sheep? I saw one earlier today doing her sheepy work.

Oooh. You didn't mean fandom sheep.

Right.

:)

*snickers* real sheep, yes. :))

I'm thinking art, myself, and while hammering nails in walls could be workable metaphors for some...*snicker* It's not for me...

*guffaw*

Or stuffed dead things! Oh no!

I see what you mean. They don't like folds either!

They don't, do they, lol. What amazed me is the variety of opinions. It explains why some fics I love don't get much attention and others I don't like get lots of it. :)
