Oh, what a surprise

You're Totally Sarcastic

You sarcastic? Never! You're as sweet as a baby bunny.

Seriously, though, you have a sharp tongue - and you aren't afraid to use it.

And if people are too wimpy to deal with your attitude, then too bad. So sad.

*snrk*

In other news, I'm behind with betas as usual. Pls dn't kill me, kthxbye.

Apart from that, there aren't any news. Mr K came home Friday, but he's leaving again tomorrow. Not only that, he's leaving early *sneers* and I have the pleasure of taking him to the airport. At 6.30am. It's an improvement over last time when it was 5.30am. But still. Sheesh, don't these airlines realise I don't do early?

Oh, maybe there are some news. The tomatoes sprouted yesterday, and *gasp* the peppers this afternoon! Three days and nine days respectively ahead of expected dates. Maybe that means I'll be able to start harvesting in twelve weeks or so. In any case, in February, I will have freshly grown tomatoes to pick and eat. And jalapeno peppers, too.

The next batch of feta is currently scenting the kitchen; it'll be ready to take to Austin next month. I'm planning on making another batch this week, a big one for gifting local friends.

The epilogue still isn't done completely, which is mainly due to the fact that firstly, it's gone cold, and the knitting muse has struck, and I now have half an arm-warmer that goes with the sweater of which I have yet to post picspam, and secondly, it's kind of difficult to find quiet time to write when Dorkboy is home just for one weekend out of three. Little Man was feeling a bit off today, but he's been living on apples, oranges, and pomegranates, so there is hope he'll be fine again tomorrow, which means I'll have writing time at Starbucks for an hour and a half.

early morning flights are wretched - especially when they are whisking loved ones far, far away. :(

but - fresh tomatoes in february! no doubt you will be envied by many. :)

I've missed you - and now that I understand why you went silent, I'll stop worrying. I am envious of fresh veggies in winter. We are still in the planning stages, so we won't have cold frames set up until next autumn.

I wish you happy writing. And if the writing stalls, you know where to find me if you need distracting. I am almost half-way through my NaNo project. Let me know if you want a peek. It's far lighter than my last book.

That really brings home the effect of latitude. We can't even plant tomato seeds until February, and March is safer, here at 52 degrees north - I suppose there aren't enough hours of sunlight.

Hmmm. Behind on betas + husband home = 5. I can do the math! :P

I don't do mornings either. Quite understand!

Yes, they are... I'm just glad I was able to go back to sleep when I got back.

Oh, I'm soooooooo looking forward to harvesting tomatoes and chilies!

I miss talking to you, too! The energy has been somewhat distracting this past weekend; I hope the next one won't be that way.

Do I want a peek? Do you need to ask???

This one isn't even about latitude. :) Memphis does have a 'winter.' At least, it can get cold, even snowy, and we have quite a few nights of freezing. The problem here, as I found out this past season, is that it gets too hot in the summer (unless you have a tree to grow tomatoes under) for the tomatoes to ripen effectively. Out of the four plants I had, which were all supposed to produce like whoa, I got about 20 tomatoes if that.

I was gifted an aerogarden, and as soon as the seed kit arrived, I started it up (last Wednesday). So now I'm watching it all grow. Literally. The seeds have grown about 7mm since yesterday morning. Amazing.

There have been disagreements this past w/end. I don't like this disrupting energy. It was weird. But back to normal now. I think.

Mornings. No thanks.
