This can't be happening

As we're slowly getting ready to leave this place, we finally found a Mexican restaurant. All these months I've been craving good Mexican food, using every opportunity to travel to places where there are Mexican restaurants. And now we've found one not even two miles away.

The food was absolutely excellent. The habanero sauce was divine. And hot. I wish I could take that chef with me. He spent two years in Mexico learning about the cuisine. He learned well.

Oooh, a good Mexican restaurant is worth its weight in gold, and I'm so glad you found one! Whenever I visit my folks in the midwest, I realize how spoiled living in Southern California has made me, particularly in regards to availability of food. The one good thing I will say about the Super Wal-Mart in their town is that you can now buy jicima in Middle-of-Nowhere, IL. :)

We used to live in Arizona, where we got seriously attached to good Mexican food. I mean, we love Indian food, too, but it's no trouble cooking authentic Indian at home. But Mexican? Somehow, I have yet to manage it. It was a true treat.

Am absolutely with you on the Waldemort shop. If they had jicima I'd shop there, too. As it happens, they are the only place I can find corn tortillas. So that's where I get them if I get desperate... But at least I still won't buy Nestlé products. *snerk*

There is a faint chance we might end up in Austria for a couple of months. We'll know in the next couple of days. After that, it'll hopefully the place I want to be in. :-)
