I don't like Mondays

Our internet connection conked out sometime this morning. It was working fine at around 7am when I first got up. Then at midday, when I sat down to check email and the flist etc, there was no connection to be had. DB phoned comcast, who talked him through everything he'd tried already *snerk*, then informed him it must be something that cannot be repaired by talking. Hence an appointment was made. For Wednesday. Are you fucking kidding me, comcast? You better deduct two days of service from the next bill. Two days without internet? I don't think so. thankfully, savvy daughter whispered to me which connection is hijackable, so that's how we're online right now. I don't think it affects anyone; the neighbourhood all go to sleep by about 10.30pm.

But of course, the one day I'm not online all the time is the day the excitement happens *grumbles*. The [livejournal.com profile] sshg_exchange has revealed all its culprits of this latest round here. It's been an awesome one!

First of all, I must thank [livejournal.com profile] inspired_ideas for the awesome art for me. I have been very lucky in every exchange I've participated, and now every time I see the moon, I will think of this wonderful piece of art. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] inspired_ideas!

I can now finally thank all the awesome people who were more or less voluntarily involved in my writing No Music More Enchanting.

Without [livejournal.com profile] shiv5468, [livejournal.com profile] scatteredlogic, and [livejournal.com profile] ginny_weasley31, there wouldn't be an exchange. You mods are purely made of awesome!

Without [livejournal.com profile] sshg316, there wouldn't have been the prompt that resulted in NMME. Thank you, my friend, for writing a prompt that was tailor-made for me! *glomps*

The story would be full of plot holes without the skills of [livejournal.com profile] little_beloved's alpha reading skills, lacking commas in the right places and grammatical errors without the eagle eye of [livejournal.com profile] southernwitch69. Thank you, my dear friends, for turning this work into something legible! *glomps you both*. Also a big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] shalimar1981 who was literally standing by to answer any questions I might have about Munich, since the last time I visited there was 19 years ago, and my memory isn't all that good. :-)

I still have quite a few exchange stories to read; two colds and RL aren't that conducive to reading leisurely. If I haven't left a review, I haven't read it. But I'm looking forward to reading them. There've been quite a few gems in there, and the art this round has been pretty amazing, too.

You're welcome, honey! I thoroughly enjoyed reading NMME, and I'm sure you'll get a lot of positive feedback once you start posting it on the sites.

How's the health this week?

Thank you! *squishes you tightly*

Health? It's kinda HWH (health what health?) *snerk*. The sneezes won't go away nor does the runny nose the moment I lie down. I know, I should probably stay up at all times, that would take care of the runny nose problem...

Not a problem! :)

Now, let's get it posted for the rest of the lot to enjoy. bwahahahha

Now that my internet appears to have returned... *snerketysnerketysnerk*

We downgraded our tv package (which is the same company as the internet). How funny that it all went down the drain, only to be available again, demanding us to download all sorts for hours on end, the evening before the tech is supposed to come around to repair it... Srsly, I hope karma is gonna get them and soon.

*runs in to squish you again!* SQUISH!

Have I ever told you how much I love being squished? :-))

Dare I say and that is what you get for having a cable internet connection we would have had you back up and running within 24 hrs with credit for all down time. HEE HEE you know where to find me when you are ready to switch! Sorry, I just couldn't resist since you live in one of my service areas! Irish Oh and I almost forgot...I thoroughly enjoyed the sneak peak! Can't wait for you to post so I can leave criptic reviews!

Oh, srsly! Comcast was at first so much better than Bell South in the middle of nowhere, but why on earth did they cut us off (and I'm sure they did, even though they're denying it!) when we downgraded the TV??? We never watch tv, so there was no point for us to keep paying $$$ for that, so we downgraded to the one above the very basic package (the very basic one would have turned out more expensive because they tie their prices to the other services they offer and since we don't have a landline... you get the idea). And how funny the connection disappeared an hour or two after we downgraded. And how very strange it should come back the late evening before the technician is supposed to turn up here... I bet he won't turn up in the morning...

Cryptic reviews? LOL. I shall make an effort to start posting soon, then!
