I spent late afternoon and early evening wrestling tornadoeshuddled in the closet with Little Man. Apparently, Midtown lost trees, Downtown flooded a bit, and lots of homes are without power, but I'm relieved that we only lost a small tomato branch with five blooms. Oh, and several water spots have formed on the dining room ceiling. Oh, joy. *snrk*

i'm glad to hear you're okay, but i have to say, growing up in a tornado prone area, i actually loved the weather. i mean, i hate the idea that someone could get hurt or lose their possesions, property etc, but a good storm like that is just electric! i love the dramatic clouds, and wind and rain. and when it's passed by everything is calm and refreshed feeling.

they don't have anything like that here in sf. and earthquakes are downright frightening. you can hide from a tornado, usually. you can't escape the damn earth for a quake. :(

It is quite an impressive spectacle watching it, I totally agree. It scares me, though, probably because I've never experienced freak weather until we moved here. In Europe, the worst that usually happens is a tree branch falling down, and that's headlines for days...

I hear you on the earthquakes! They'd scare me more than the weather, too.
