Creating...
Sep. 22nd, 2005 10:21 pmThere's nothing much to say about today really... The weather is still far too summery, one day into Autumn, but that has its advantages, too, besides the fact that the only pair of shoes I can get into (courtesy of very slowly healing blisters) is my Minnetonka Mocs. We spent much time in the park or playground, Little One tires himself out, and I write. So, the chapter is now 8k words, and I'm hoping, yet again, to complete it tomorrow. And whilst I feel accomplished in one sense, that I've written such a long chapter, I'm dreading the re-reading part, in which I might end up deleting half... But it's just so wonderful to create sentences that might stick in someone's mind... Such as "When eventually the colours deliquesced into nothingness, she felt exhaustion overcome her and slid down onto the floor." I so like to use new words. Well, words new to me, anyways...
Tomorrow is another day, probably another warm day. We are looking forward to the first payday in months - I even might find an affordable pair of desert boots, yeah! I promised Peter I'll make Spinach and Ricotta Cheese Lasagne or Canneloni tomorrow. Blissful domesticity.
Dorkboy has finally admitted to liking a song from a Musical. That's a first! Maybe he'll take me to see Les Misérables, just so he can hear the song live, LOL. And I can just about picture Little One, asking me "Mom, why is that French Dude so keen on war? Does he have financial interests?" Long and prosper live unschooling.
