lady_kareliaIt's hot. Again. In fact, we've recently established there are three types of heat over here: In April it was hot. Last month it got "UH" or unbearably hot. This month, with the heat going up yet another notch or three, we concluded that now it is "FUH". That stands for fucking unbearably hot. So there. Too hot to go out, even in the evenings because it simply won't cool down. I tested it, honestly. I went out on the terrace couple of nights ago, around midnight, just sat down for a few minutes of contemplation. Well, not much contemplation, but plenty of sweat running down my forehead *wrinkles_nose*. So now I do my contemplating in front of my iMac with the typical ecclectic mix of music I like. You know, the one that drives everyone nuts. Bob Dylan's Hurricane followed by André Rieu's version of Hava Nagila followed by the Grande Finale of River Dance. With some PotO thrown in, just for good measure and to ensure high musical quality. I've been searching high and low for a Yiddish version of "If I were a rich man" to no avail. I guess the goddess is looking beningly at hubby and the kidlets *snort*. So instead it's Pink Floyd for now. Just a couple of songs.
I'm stuck on Chapter 8. It's not writer's block, no. But there's a plot idea niggling in the back of my head that hasn't come forward enough for me to grab it. In a way, it's much easier to write Non-fiction. Or maybe I find that because I've written a lot more non-fiction than fiction, and fiction usually has been contained to short, one or two page stories. I am, however, pleased to say that I'm still very much encouraged about writing this fiction, not least thanks to the Lady Joyous and my darling brother, both of whom have been given me loads of encouragement.
Now that I've let some steam off by writing this, I shall return to chapter 8, read what I've written so far, and maybe that plot will oblige and come a bit forward so I can make use of it. :-)
