what reviews do to the Muse!

Words just tumbled out of the keyboard today.

Exchange piece is now 1600 words and going a slightly different direction than initially planned, but I'm pleased with it so far. Of course, I'll only know for sure in the morning once I read it all...

Original non-fiction: 1400 words. Did lots of reading up on scientific facts today, so should be able to write a bit on that tomorrow.

Naturally, his ability to cook such wonderful food challenged my never-before-known competitive side, and having been brought up literally on the other side of the planet, I thought it was to be an experience of a very different kind for him indeed. At first, the good knight accused me of starting a conspiracy against his taste-buds and possibly his nation. I gravely informed him that he had caught me out, as this was my scheme; just call me Mahatma Sauerkraut.

Oh, did I forget to mention it's something about cooking? *looks innocent*

Original novel: Took one look and decided to wait another day. Let's not even go there for now...

Without Magic: I hand-wrote probably around 200 words, but haven't typed them up, so can't tell you the exact number of words. But it's progressing nicely and should take no more than 3-4 weeks at the most to update now that I'm up-to-date with what's been happening in the previous thirteen chapters *snerk*.

In other news, I made sauerkraut and cauliflower with cheese sauce for dinner. It was nice enough, but I really can't wait to taste my own sauerkraut I canned (or rather bottled into jars - raw) two days ago. I did a huge batch of cheese sauce today, froze two portions of ready sauce and a few of the roux.

*high fives back* I see you've been busy as well. :-)

Ever since I finished the chapter-that-took-forever, I've found it comes much easier now. *phew*

*grins* A bit, yes...

You're right about the chapters-that-take-forever... the words do just tumble out. After screwing up the "new chapter" screen on OWL three times last night (*facepalm* OWL?), I backed away from archive sites, deeming myself too sleepy...

... and I was going to go to bed...

... but instead found myself writing. The first 900 or so words of the next chapter just spilled out. I'm not sure I even typed them; they may just have appeared on the screen. O.O

Happy writing! *waves*
