I'm nearly done. Last chapter, only two scenes left. I will be sooooo happy to see the end of it. If it wasn't a fic for a deadline, it would grow into an epic, srsly. I envisaged this to be a long one-shot, like, say 12-15k. Hahaha. I can only hope my recipient will like it. Weirdness abounds in it. But at least the friends I Imperioed who volunteered to read it like it, so there's hope.

The weather here is going totally nuts. On Wednesday, it was still 74 degrees at 4pm. At 9pm, it was down to 38. The rain that came with the temperature drop was positively scary. Imagine one minute a few fat raindrops obscuring the screen of your car, and the next minute a blanket of rain is coming down, hammering said screen to the extent that you have to stop driving because you can't see a fucking thing. It drove the shopping list out of my mind, but I still managed to buy the ingredients needed for goulash, which the boys demanded for Thxgiving. Then we've had a few days of blissful rain and cold, with a high of around 47/48. Today, at 4pm it was 49. Now it is 58, a mere six hours later, when it should really be lower than the afternoon temperature. WTF? And the high for tomorrow is about ten degrees lower than it is currently. It looks like I've found the ideal place for me—weirdage abounds.

Weekends, even long ones, go far too fast! :-(( Airport run in the morning, followed by about ten days of insomnia before DB comes back. *sob*

Weird weather indeed.

*hugs* for the absent-man-induced insomnia. I get that too. *more hugs*

Ah the joys of Southern weather. LOL

Your story is great, and your recipient will love it. I almost hate to see it ending. :)

Yay for finishing! Isn't it amazing how these things can blow up? And not in a good way. At least, it's not good when there's deadlines to meet.

Sounds like the front that brought me COLD brought you much rain too. Here we just got the nasty drizzles. Our high on Tuesday was about 90. Wednesday, we hit the 80s, then the front blew through. Our highs had been in the 50s, except today when we jumped back up to about 65-70. Our lows have been in the low 40s and last night, possibly tonight too, in the 30s. Not the usual for this time of year in South Texas... *makes face at weather* At least you didn't have the resulting massive allergy crap from it that I do. Whatever that front blew in has knocked me for a loop...my head throbs from the sinus congestion from my allergies...and I don't even know what it is that is causing this.

I'm already ready for winter to be over with. and it hasn't even begun...
