Of fic and weather

I'm nearly done. Last chapter, only two scenes left. I will be sooooo happy to see the end of it. If it wasn't a fic for a deadline, it would grow into an epic, srsly. I envisaged this to be a long one-shot, like, say 12-15k. Hahaha. I can only hope my recipient will like it. Weirdness abounds in it. But at least the friends I Imperioed who volunteered to read it like it, so there's hope.
The weather here is going totally nuts. On Wednesday, it was still 74 degrees at 4pm. At 9pm, it was down to 38. The rain that came with the temperature drop was positively scary. Imagine one minute a few fat raindrops obscuring the screen of your car, and the next minute a blanket of rain is coming down, hammering said screen to the extent that you have to stop driving because you can't see a fucking thing. It drove the shopping list out of my mind, but I still managed to buy the ingredients needed for goulash, which the boys demanded for Thxgiving. Then we've had a few days of blissful rain and cold, with a high of around 47/48. Today, at 4pm it was 49. Now it is 58, a mere six hours later, when it should really be lower than the afternoon temperature. WTF? And the high for tomorrow is about ten degrees lower than it is currently. It looks like I've found the ideal place for me—weirdage abounds.
Weekends, even long ones, go far too fast! :-(( Airport run in the morning, followed by about ten days of insomnia before DB comes back. *sob*
