I have talked recently with MIL about the cruise she undertook some 20 years ago. What could be from interest for you: try to get a room higher up. The deeper down in the ship your cabin is located, the louder it is - to the point where sleeping is barely possible.
BTW, Seeing you choice of music made me dive into my CD-shelf to dig out my old Fleetwood Mac CDs. I haven't listened to them way too long.
