Humidity, more donuts, more heat
Jul. 9th, 2005 08:07 pmIt's hot again *sweat*. Not that I expect India to be less hot, it's just different insofar that it seems to be a wee bit... should we say, freer in accepting the fact that not everyone wants to be covered up from head to toe in this heat...
Dorkboy has returned to the UK, and we're all sort of sad, missing him. Sara is getting giddier with the prospect of following him as soon as some Arab cancels their seat and she gets it. Fairly good chance apparently as they're known for hopelessly overbooking, so hopefully she *will* be back in the UK for the Half Blood Prince release.
We've all been eating too much since yesterday, having gone to Papasalli's last night (via the bookstore) and following today's visit to Dunkin' Donuts. Oh well. Tomorrow we'll eat less. I think. I'm dreaming of Hush Puppies and Grits and Spinach and Ricotta Canneloni, so I guess those dreams make me more hungry than usual, lol.
We found a travel guide book for Southern India yesterday and I know where I wanna go! Kerala sounds absolutely fascinating and if we take the train from Amritsar or thereabouts we can stop on the way at a couple of Tiger Reserves. Then go boating in the backwaters of Kerala, enjoy a day or three on the beach, maybe watch dolphins in the harbour of Cochin. Enjoy the mainly vegetarian South Indian cuisine. I'm definitely getting itchy feet, now that dorkboy is gone. :-( We keep saying every time that we'll never get ourselves into a situation where we'll be apart for more than a day or two and yet it keeps happening. Maybe we should just stop saying it, just like the settling down thing. Where we'll be home next, I have no idea.
