One cloak nearly done now *phew*

Today was a seriously creative day. I finished Little One's cloak except for the frog fastenings which haven't arrived yet, but hopefully will do tomorrow. Anyways, he loves it and has worn it most of the afternoon! Seeing his enthusiasm and having some time on my hands (Sara did the vacuum cleaning, I bribed her ;-) ), I finally sat down to pin the lining for my new cloak (the pattern is Simplicity 5794). Not only that, I actually managed to shorten the length on the pattern. I hope I did it right, but no doubt Bribbet will correct me if it's not done correctly. I hope I'll see her over the weekend, so I can get on with the cloak! I also have to see her new horse, her Moon has a new companion and she appears to be in love with him. He does look gorgeous, Bribbet sent me a picture of them, so am very keen on a visit to see him for real and to say hi to Moon who is absolutely adorable.
Little One's reading is finally improving, he's showing a definite interest, yeah! *smug_smile_here* Not that Sara or even myself were capable of reading when we had just turned 7 years old, but nevertheless, I'm feeling rather relieved, as both Sara and myself had learned to read at school, whereas Little One has never been to school and we conduct our home education in a very autonomous way, completely child-led, with absolutely no classroom setting. Our motto is 'the world is my classroom', and no, I didn't invent that one. That credit goes to www.educationsense.com. But it suits us, considering how much we have traveled in the past, and also how we go about facilitating our children's education.
I'll leave it at that for now, as hubby is home *smiles_happily* after 5 days away from us.
