I was tagged by
littlebeloved to name five simple pleasures, so here is my choice:
1. Waking up next to Dorkboy in the night or very early in the morning and knowing that I can go back to sleep again and still wake up right next to him.
2. Having a few hours free to do some writing. The anticipation leaves me almost giddy.
3. Succeeding in playing Friedrich Gulda's "Play, Piano, Play" No. 6 as fast as the maestro himself.
4. Dreading having to do a day's worth of washing-up and then remembering that I actually can listen to Brendel's version of Beethoven's Pathétique on the iPod while doing it.
5. Seeing the sun rise on one of the solstices out in the open, at Stonehenge or any energy-charged place on earth and hearing the children go "Wow" in awe.
I have a date on Wednesday. :-) I'm totally excited about it.
