Snatched from [livejournal.com profile] ginny_weasley31:

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fan fiction, or, NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence (or more) from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Without Magic - Chapter IX
She looked at him and thought smugly, He clearly isn’t at his sharpest—I wonder what’s up with him. Aloud, she said, unable to hide a grin, “Um, Severus, how do you usually communicate with him?”

Severus looked startled for a moment, before his face took on a positively sheepish expression. “Damn,” he muttered. “I think the sudden increase of magic has addled my brain.”

Tracero (Original Work)
When they reached the others, Gipsy was greeted with awe, enthusiasm and affectionate teasing, which helped her dispose of the unease she had been feeling mere minutes ago.
‘Oh Wise One, how did your first meeting go?’ Healer asked, her face full of happy admiration for her friend.
Sophisticat wanted to know, smirking, ‘How does one feel now one has achieved cronedom?’
Moonchild unwrapped herself from Croco’s arm and hugged her. ‘It’s so great to be back and to see you! It feels like I haven’t seen you in ages.’
Gipsy looked fondly at her friend. ‘It has been ages, Moonchild! You had been on assignments the last two times I returned, and each time, I went off again before you returned! I’ve missed you.’
‘I can’t say I missed you.’ Moonchild laughed. ‘It’s a good thing that temporary amnesia comes with each assignment, it was bad enough missing Croco at the end.’ And with a wistful tone, she added, ‘I think I’d have gone crazy if I’d remembered all of you...’

Something untitled as yet that I'm not sure will shape into anything, although if it does, it will not be the written word

I’m not one to seek attention, but I feel it is time that the events must be told as they happened, not shrouded by heroism as happened days after the final battle in the Daily Prophet, not falsified by the glamourising report by Witch Weekly, not in the sneering way purebloods who still cannot accept that a mere mudblood helped defeat their lord depicted it, and certainly not by someone who sees me as their heroine. All those points were reason enough for me to turn my back on the wizarding world.
