I figured this out about a year ago. Curiousity and all.
I was averaging roughly one review for every ten reads on SH. Surprisingly, it was the same for Occlumency stories as it was for Ashwinder (Occ was actually one out of nine and Ash was a bir like one out of 10.4). Now it's one out of forty-three! The reads are there, but people just aren't reviewing. That makes no sense to me, but it's what's happening. Of course, the only story I've posted was part of the SSHG exchange, so perhaps people read it there and didn't realize they'd read it when they clicked on.
I never got that obsessive about reviews on other sites because I usually posted on SH first. But I think I was average one out of 23 at OWL. Mostly though, I concentrated on SH's numbers as they were the best.
Some of the variables to consider are if the story is posted at multiple sites and how it's promoted and who the pairings are. Crackfic and PWP always garner higher numbers of reviews than anything else for me.

Hope this helps.
