We're off to the Ozarks for a couple of days. If I find any 'shrooms, I'll picspam. I also have hope to find Severus' Patronus. And maybe some other wild critters.

You know, it was your post a few months back when you were saying sub!hub had booked a cabin that inspired me. I figured not far, woods, mountains = possible mushroom hunting and definite nature. And I've been missing the woods so badly lately - it's been nearly three years that I picked 'shrooms in the wild, far too long for me.

So we booked a hotel in Mountain Home. I don't know if we find 'shrooms - it's been freaking hot over there, too, and I'm not yet familiar with the way the 'shroom fairy works. But it's a start. We'll check out the area and make plans for a week's holiday in October or so. And over the holidays. In a cabin so we can cook our finds. I'm totally excited about it, lol.

Mountain Home is in a beautiful part of the world, for sure. We spent our first wedding anniversary at Bull Shoals, which is nearby, if my mental geography is intact. I hope you find some lovely solitude - and some 'shrooms, LOL!

Oh how nice for you. I don't like mushrooms and they are probably my least favourite food, however I will eat them.

Keep an eye out for Severus too, he may be picking some potions ingrediants. If you find him, capture him and when you are through with him, send him my way :)

Dude, if you want to find Severus' Patronus, come to Eastern Connecticut. Barely a week goes by one doesn't either jump out in the road in front of me or (for the smarter ones) watch warily from the trees. On a foggy morning, you can sometimes find a whole family feasting on someone's lawn and/or garden.
