Have actually, low and behold, managed to upload pictures! Yeah! Blimey, I've managed a lot today! The lining of the cloak is readily pinned for sewing. Well I won't attempt it until Bribbet has cast her critical eye on it, of course, but I feel like it's right. The pattern is pinned to the cloak material, so it won't be long before I shall don my new cloak, twice as voluminous as the current one. *Sigh* so much more Snape-like, too. That sigh was a perfectly contented one, by the way. And that cloak of mine will last until Joy sees it. And she'll rip it off. After Sandra's little speech last Wednesday at our Moors Valley outing, everyone wants a cloak. I can see it, too. A whole group meeting on a Wednesday at the local forest, all clad in cloaks of various colors and designs. *sigh* All I can hope for is that the fashion industry doesn't catch up on this thread. [Joy if you read this, know I love you! Am just my sarcastic self here!]
The weekend went entirely uneventful. The company failed to make a CHAPS payment (the fast way of getting money into someone's bank account, so instead of pay day being last Friday, it will (hopefully) be tomorrow), so we entertained ourselves by freezing half do death walking to the playground and watching Little One for 10 minutes enjoy himself. Walking back, it started raining, and the wind was just. Well. English Winter. Need I say more? *shudder* The English weather clearly has no conscience whatsoever. Yesterday morning, just after I suggested to hubby that since the sun is shining (finally), we should go out for a walk and take some more pictures with my new camera, we heard some noise from outside, looked out the window, heck, the sunshine was all but a dream and hail stones pounded on the windows, turning the road white within minutes. Even now it's still windy, that blasted gas boiler keeps being blown out and I only notice when I get cold. *sigh* One of these days we'll find a nice, old-fashioned house with real fireplaces, and it won't matter how windy it is, because the wind simply will not be able to blow out a fire made with wood. Hm. I can dream, can't I?
Meantime, I'm plotting some more. And nope. Not gonna tell ya. :-) Good night for now.
