I think I've found a solution to the current state of affairs: a holiday.
The fact that the morel season has started and the woods are calling loud and clear help matters along of course, as does the fact that we won't have to pay for the hotel if we decide to go up to PA where Dorkboy is currently working.
So, sometime next week, we shall pack the suitcase and get in the car. It'll give both DD and me a chance to get some alone-time, something I've been very sorely missing over the past four months or so. It also means we'll be able to add at least two more states to our "have-been-there" list, yay.
I also need to express how grateful I am for my friends here on LJ. Your words in answer to my rant yesterday mean the world to me. They also showed me that I'm not quite as alone as I thought I was, which is very soothing. Thank you!
