Squeeful Saturday
Oct. 20th, 2007 04:21 pmTeh straw est arrivé. Thank you so much,
ellaselenelupin ::loves you:: Which spell did you use to have it arrive so lightning-fast? *iz curious* As soon as I'm done with today's writing quota, I'll soak some and then make a star or five. :-)
Oh, and thank you for the lovely card, too! She now hangs magnetised on the fridge, amongst a friendly bird from Trinidad, the Phantom and a Buckminster Fuller quote, and looks simply splendid there!
I also cooked the first of the home-made canned sauerkraut.
closetravenclaw, it's ready to eat. It's rather tasty, too. I fried a quarter onion, added a wedge of finely cut apple, then cooked it on low heat for about half an hour. So now that I know how to make it from scratch, I'll have to go and procure some glass jars and a few white cabbages. It's a definite improvement over store-bought sauerkraut!
It's gone warm again, 80 degrees. But at least it'll cool down to 51 overnight *phew*. I'm hoping for mushrooms tomorrow, srsly. We had a couple of inches of rain earlier in the week, so there is hope. ::wills the 'shrooms to grow::
In other news, *welcomes
