I'm a happy witch tonight. Picked Dorkboy up from the airport late last night, went to sleep in his arms, woke up in his arms, and the day has been wonderful. And home is clean tonight because I made it so, save the floors, which I'll deal with tomorrow. Dorkboy is so much better suited to do grocery shopping than me. He doesn't get half as much irritated at poor produce quality, human stupidity, or crowds as I do.

Anyway, for lack of pimping my own music, which is due to the macbook still being out of action (although if you're really, seriously bored, you can always go to last.fm to listen to what's up there--link on the profile), I surfed youtube. The first one is definitely [livejournal.com profile] pyjamapants's fault; if I hadn't read Witches of Gilford, I'd never remember the awesomeness that Shostakovich is.

And in case anyone still wonders where the name for my web presence comes from...

One of the reasons for that was that Finlandia just doesn't have the same ring to it...

And here is an Italian voice I appreciate:

And, OMG, finally, after all my raving about Tango Jointz, I found one!
Not their best, by any means, but worth it nevertheless.

And for those who like Gotan Project...

OMG, Dani, here's one that doesn't allow embedding. Imagine looking like she does at 60 or thereabouts. *snrk*

Ah, yeah. I stop now. *goes back to writing*

Your favourite has changed? I thought it was Tango Que Mysterio?

Not movie, just the song video I think.

Love music, I love the first piece, makes me want to dance, and the tangos, I love to tango.

I totally hear you on both counts. Even though the Shostakovich waltz is very fast for a waltz, it still makes me want to get up and dance.

Haven't danced tango in decades, but omg, the music is sooooooo wonderful. :)

I think it's a good vigorous pace, actually, I could dance to it.

A good tango and it's hard to keep still.

I LOVE the Shostakovich! Swaying in my chair here :D
The Sibelius is fun too.
I can only blame a game of Upwords and my own conceit for my screenname.

Yeah, Shostakovich is growing on me again. I'd forgotten about his music. And Sibelius rocks my world. LOL.

Oh, I like your name, though!

Frida (or should I call her Princess Frida?) totally rocks! She just turned 63! What a fascinating (and sometimes tragic) life she's led. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anni-Frid_Lyngstad

(Edited because dunderhead-Dani pasted the wrong link.)

Oh, and btw - Yay for the return of Dorkboy!! (Wow - that sounds like a bad anime flick...)

Wow, thanks for that link! I didn't know most of it! I do, however, remember the issue of Bravo in which she united with her father. I'm so ancient, LOL.

Bad anime *gigglesnorts*
