Well *contented_sigh*, it is just so nice up here, you know! And my brother is on the same cloud, so it's even more fun. I enjoyed a gifting this morning. Bribbet, the goddess of sewing emailed me to say she has 4 patterns of cloaks and costumes for me *jumps_up_in_excitement*. I do love surprises like that. I always feel encouraged to commit random acts of kindness myself, but I find it rather enjoyable to be at the receiving end, too.
The powers that be in the UK have decided that today is "Mothers' Day". Our New Year's resolution was to ignore as many such days as we managed. We're not doing badly. Not at all. We managed successfully to blissfully ignore Valentine's Day. And today we're ignoring Mothers' Day. Next in line will be Easter I guess, not that we've not ignored that one before. I prefer to celebrate the Equinox, thank the Earth for coming back to life again after the long nights of winter.
And now we're off to Southampton. Sara and her friend are spending the afternoon there, followed by dinner at TGIF, and I shall utilize my few hours by hitting the fabric shops (just looking!) and the book shops where I can't guarantee not to buy anything. Phantom of the Opera, the novel, sounds quite attractive right now.
