Being busy

We've had a couple of busy days, and today I'm just chiling out mostly. Monday we went all over the place, just so I can get a copy of our marriage certificate, since we keep losing them *sigh*. Maybe one day I'll settle down to never move again, and then they won't get perpetually lost. Then yesterday, we went to get the thing "legalised", so Dorkboy can get his visa sorted out for Germany. We are somewhat tired to run to the Embassy every time we want to go on a weekend trip over there, so we haven't done it in too long. And now, that he is earning again, we really wanna go away for a weekend sometime before the end of the year.
Yesterday morning, I went to do the laundry, and I realized how desperate I've become to spend a little time by myself - I was actually looking forward to doing the laundry, knowing that I can go have a coffee while the washing machine is running! How sad can I get, LOL.
This morning I slept until 10.30 which was just as well, as it's been a grey, overcast, cool day, and I wasn't going to do any activities anyways. Two days of running around, walking about 10 miles or so, and dealing with red tape, definitely warrant a day off, I think.
Then Little One asked me about various properties of herbs he found in the kitchen cupboard, so we did some googling and now he wants to become a Potions Master. Muahaha.
Then I sneaked out, having bribed Sara with a piece of chocolate cake in return to look after her brother, and went to have coffee. I find my muse takes off as if there is a switch that comes on the moment I enter a café *smirk*. So I sat down and started writing, while enjoying a very strong cappuccino. And now I really should start typing all I've written, because then I can send it on to NSS who agreed to beta *dances_happy_dance*. Yeah.
Besides all that boring stuff, the family we're staying with like my cooking. It's worth noting because in general, Asians are no friends of Continental cooking. And my cooking is unconventional, just like everything else. They liked my apple crumble, too. So I'm happy. Tonight, our friend Peter is coming, and I'm making sauerkraut with potatoes and Cauldron Foods Lincolnshire sausages. I'm not normally keen on veggie sausages, but Cauldron Foods have some seriously nice ones.
