Ranting? Or maybe just finding a title...
Oct. 7th, 2005 10:59 pmWell.... *deep_sigh*. Sara has left again to join her friend. They'll be off to Greece next week! Am I jealous or what... This is the second country Sara visits that I've never been to, and here I go, being proud of how much I've seen of the world, LOL.
We've had a great time this week. I guess that's the good "side-effect" of being apart a lot of the time - we really value our time together. We talked probably more this past week than in two months when we're together... And now I miss her.
But alas, I could have just felt sorry for myself and do nothing except drown in sorrow, but I figured that would be time wasted. So i started typing that blasted story I've been writing all week. And I finally found a title! Yeah! Of course, finding the title entirely distracted me from typing much, but at least I've found a title. It's been kind of nagging me all week. Like, with Damage Control and Outcast, I knew the title before I even started writing the story. Then, this new story came into my head and I had to start writing it, and couldn't think of a title. Huh. That was a new feeling. Anyways, I remembered this half ancient Earth, Wind and Fire song "After the love has gone", and immediately I thought yeah, that's it... "After the magic's gone"
Don't worry, the magic won't stay gone. But I have a feeling it won't be a two chapter story, as I had initially hoped. I really, really, really want to get on with writing Damage Control, but this one just nagged me too much, I had to write it down.
Whilst on the subject of writing, I'm going to submit 'Everything is fine' to Glimmertrain, a literary magazin, next week. Pretty please wish me luck. I need to finance all those coffees somehow. Blast. The first nearly 6 weeks I've been back I made do with a coffee a week or so. The moment Dorkboy got the first measly pay, I've been running to the coffee shops like it's going out of fashion *slaps_self*. But it's just so much fun sitting down and writing while enjoying a coffee... So I figure, if one of my stories gets accepted every 6 months, that'll pay for my coffee habit...
Aaaaahhhhh, I know for sure I'm rambling, so I'm stopping right here ;-)
