It's been a day that goes beyond fucking, unbearably hot. The heat index factor was 109F. I set the a/c to 65F this morning, and the first time the indoor temp went below 80 was at 9.20pm.

Soooo, I guess I'm going to have to escape to the cooler temperatures of Chicago next week, eh? *grins*

Aaaand, before I forget, after a weekend of intense admin and beta work, I finally decided to spoonfeed SPaG to all who wants it at beta101. Srsly, one spelling, punctuation, or grammar rule per entry. Never more than one entry per day, so you always have at least 24 hours to digest the rule. Comments are always invited for any questions you have.

I was going to spend today completing the next chapter of my super-seekrit fic, but the musicks called. Of course, tonight, character x keeps whispering in my ear, and I now have chunks of chapters x and y. All good, really.

ZOMG! I'm going to Chicago!!! Who else will be there? I know shalimar1981, geminiscorp, droxy and ariadne1 are going to Terminus. Who else? Is there an sshg-meet-up?

Nope driving from Oklahoma to Virginia Friday. Then Wednesday, mom, 2 of my children and I are driving to Chicago. Mom and Elleen will sightsee and shop. Jonathan will be attending conference with me :)

I'll tell you I'm NOT going. LOL As if you didn't already know. I can't believe you're doing two conventions in one summer! I wish I was in the position to be able to do something like that.

I'm not doing any conventions, lol! I've done Portus totally on the cheap: no ticket for the con, hotel was paid for with points Dorkboy has been accumulating over the year from his travels, and the gas cost was shared with Shal. It was a bit inconvenient to stay 5 miles away from the main hotel, but it was either that or not go, and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it for anything! And Chicago is only happening because Dorkboy fixed it so his client would want him on-site for a week. Which means travel and hotel and even most food will be reimbursed via expenses.

Yes, please do post them quotes! Just, um, make sure it's one rule per post, lol. And, hey, sarcasm I never mind. Even less so if it flies over people's heads *snicker*
