You knit very well, Mrs. Weasley! It's even got a cute little bottom to it (the sweater, not the bear).
Actually, I ran over to see if you actually meant 'sweater' in this heat. Thought perhaps you meant 'sweeter' and I was going to tease you mercilessly. But then, you never would do something like that, so
I took my four children to a county fair today and was just amazed at some of the handwork there. Quilts and knitted goods, especially... they were just wow. Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you create something all by yourself with your own hands? I do love that.
Oh, I love county fairs! I wish there was one near me. Yeah, that's why I love knitting. I didn't even need a pattern *pats self on back* LOL, and I'm quite happy with the result. Srsly, I can't wait for the weather to get cold so I can knit more than socks or little sweaters.
Wow!!! That is really good! IS it green and black? Slytherin colors? I can't tell on my stupid screen and with my bad eyes! But, it looks great! I don't think I could ever do that... lol
The main colour is a heathery aqua, and the stripe is navy blue, but it doesn't come out that well on the picture.
I only learned to knit last November, but I got hooked on it pretty fast. Now I just can't wait for the weather to cool down so I can do more woolen projects like another sweater. Throughout summer, I've always been having a sock on the needles these past few months, but it's not the same as knitting a sweater or cardigan. :)
Very cute, sweater and teddy. Wish I had photos of the sweaters I used to design and knit, but that was 20 yrs ago LOL. I learned to knit when I was 10. After that my mother wouldn't knit anything for me. I had to knit all my own. So I learned to do cable, lacy patterns, fair isle, textures and eventually just made them up myself. I had a bright yellow mohair jersey with black oval "holes" with grey knobbly mice heads poking out , with sewn on whiskers and ears. I also did a farm scene one for a nephew with all sorts of animals, and a mock tuxedo jersey. Then I got sick of all the handwashing LOL
