Cuz the hard drive on my macbook died. :( I could buy another 60gig now to replace it or wait a couple of weeks and then get a bigger one, so I'm opting for that. Meantime, I'm using Dorkboy's Windows laptop...

Best thing I ever did was join Carbonite.com. It backed up my settings and stuff and when I sent my laptop in for service a few weeks ago, they wiped my hard drive. Wasn't expecting them to either. I just thought, well, just in case you never know. Yeah, well, 'you never know' in my case is usually 'it will most definitely happen'. Self-defeating maybe, but true.

I'll have to check out this carbonite stuff. My main gripe is that I had nearly done the latest chapter, all edited, too, and not backed it up. I have a couple of GarageBand files lost, but I can live with that. Somehow, it's easier to recreate music files than word files...
