We've been busy sightseeing lately. Yesterday we went past Daman-el-Koh, much higher up, it was heavenly. The air felt almost cool, and, more importantly, clean, and the scenery was incredible, as was the flora. I was hoping we'd see the monkeys on the way, but alas, it's weekend after all, so they're probably otherwise engaged... All the more reason to go back during the week :-)
We got some more honey, the heavenly local honey, this time I went for rose and something other the name of which I've forgotten. Both taste wonderful! And to make sure we'll go back to that place, I was gifted with a sheet of beeswax, YEAH! My cauldron, amongst other items, should be arriving this week, finally, so I can get down to potion making again. About time, too, my moisturizer is in desperate need of some beeswax, it is totally liquid here due to the heat. And let's face it, it is totally impractical keeping that kind of thing in the fridge...
On the way home we stopped at Jinnah Super, to go to the bookshop we saw when we went to Papasalli's earlier in the week. My, my, what a paradise. I saw about 10 books on homoeopathy alone that I absolutely must get, about 20 on herbalism, the good ones, not the 'cure yourself' type stuff. I did settle for Hulda Clark's 'The Cure for all diseases', what a buy! Plus I found Anne Rice books, one of which I got for Sara, so she is a happy girl today. Well okay, I also got one on homoepathy, but since people here tell me all their medical histories and then look at me for the cure-it-all solution, I do need to continue to study this vast subject. I so hope that hubby might have gone to the feedstore, I heard rumours they sell sodium ascorbate, but I won't hold my breath, seeing he's gone out with Naveed who can only do one task at a time and until that is accomplished he ain't doin' nothin' else. *Hmph* Men!
After stopping by Naveed's home for dinner, we then ventured out to Commercial Market, where I found bicarbonate of soda as well as citric acid, so my laundry problem is solved. No more unspeakable brands pour moi *smug_grin*. I'm still looking for borax, but I'm sure I'll find it somewhere, sometime...
Today, we managed to go to the Blue Area, to Dunkin' Donuts, Sara's idea entirely, I don't really eat them that much, I rather stick to cheesecake. Well, we sneaked out, didn't tell Little One as he was having such a good time with his girlfriends *grin*. So it was Sara and me, and for the first time we went out on our own. We had a seriously good time, having coffee at the Crown Plaza. Don't bother if you're in the area, their coffee is about as good as the one you get in an English Greasy Spoon. Then we shopped at Dunkin' Donuts, then went to Lasania (same block as Crown Plaze, Blue Area) to eat. Nice food, good prices.
I actually managed to upload some more pitures: http://www.ladyinthecloak.com/photo.htm
That's all for now from here. Gotta go install the Scrabble CD-Rom I picked up :-)
