We did manage to do nothing today, oh wonder. Well, sort of nothing. Sara and I went to Cologne airport, to pick up her friend, but we were back by noon, and I simply collapsed in front of the iMac, to re-read For Someone Special, and later I typed up all I’d written over the past few days. Chapter 2 of Without Magic is now over 2,500 words. I also managed to clean up the first few chapters of Tracero and it reads much smoother now. I’m much happier with it now. :-)
I submitted chapter 1 of Without Magic to The Petulant Poetess (www.thepetulantpoetess.com) yesterday, and when I checked the status just now, I was absolutely amazed. It is No. 7 in the queue! How that wonderful archive has grown! Last time, about two months ago, when I submitted something, it went straight to No. 2 or 3 in the queue, and now, 24 hours after submitting it, it’s at No. 7. That means more people are submitting more stories to the archive. It’s not surprising, the archive is fast becoming a favourite to many, readers and authors alike. Readers, because the stories posted are of good quality and tasteful. Authors, because the admins are absolutely wonderful. What I also like is that the archive accepts not only Harry Potter fan fiction, but also original stories and poetry.
Anyways, the laundry is still waiting and I’m going to have to wear jeans tomorrow. Ah well. I’ll live. I think. It’s been a while since I last wore jeans, about 2 weeks at least... I’ll absolutely have to go to the launderette tomorrow, but otherwise, I think we might put in another chill-out day. It’s done us good. Little One has definitely improved, and I’m no longer totally exhausted.
