I have two chapters in queues, on two archives. My mailbox, each time I check it, shows gaping emptiness. *Sigh* Someone "up there" evidently wants me to exercise patience. But I simply don't do patience. *Deep_sigh*
I should really use this time of waiting to a) practise limerick writing for the Potter_Place Challenge or b) continue writing the Exchange fic or c) Study grammar and punctuation rules.

Maybe I'll just take over the world TV and watch Immortal Beloved. Or Dogma.

You know, I've owned it about five times, and I still haven't managed to see it... I just don't do movies, I guess...

I know people who were highly offended by it, I think mainly because they're religious types who can't see beyond the borders of 'The Book'. I'm neither pious nor am I religious, and I thought the movie's plotline was brilliant (in it's crass way). Besides, Rickman's in it as the dickless Megatron - he's not sexy, but the voice .. !!!! what more should a person need?

Oh yeah, I know plenty of people who were offended. Which is the reason I bought it in the first place, LOL. Rickman's voice being an added bonus. I don't need him to be sexy in terms of physical... The voice does it perfectly, iykwim...

LOL! You poor thing! I totally understand though. I have one story in a queue... all I'm waiting for is a letter telling me that it belongs on a different archive. (I'd like it on the archive that I uploaded it to, for several reasons mostly since I do eventually intend to write sequels and that will be where the series belongs, but as a stand-alone it's definately questionable and is likely more suited somewhere else.) But, nevertheless, I keep checking my inbox and the 'recently added' section of the archives. :)

For some reason, my husband thinks that I'm obsessed! *scoff*

Oh, but you could always argue your case, ya know! Especially if it's about what I think it's about. A little prod about an update and all that...
Husbands sometimes can be real thick. You could try get yours into writing fanfic, too. It helps, I'm telling ya.

LOL! My initial remark was to say 'there's no way that my husband would write fanfic', but I don't believe that. LOL!

He certainly wouldn't write HP. He's read a bit, but it's not 'his thing'. But my dad gave him a bunch of Star Wars books last year and hubby read them at Christmas time. (Imho, Star Wars books are the ultimate fanfiction.) Anyhow, after reading 7 of the New Jedi Order books he started saying "I could do this." and thought of a plot for a fic. Now, when I suggested 'fanfic' he scoffed. No way in hell he was doing this for free! LOL!

Oh man, hillarious.

Yes, I could argue my point, but first they have to make a decision about it. Or question me about it. It does qualify is you go solely on the point that there needs to be interaction... albeit brief. To me, it's iffy. I also don't mind having it uploaded to a different archive for now and then changing the category (b/c I think the new system will be around by then) when I upload the next piece.

Oh so very confusing. Either way it'll be alright. I truly don't mind, whatever they decide. :)

Queueing- the best and worst thing about moderated archives. The best because there are HP and grammar gods and goddesses making your story better, and the worst because there are only a finite number of moderators, which translates to angst. I am so envious of you with two queued chapters- I am stuck on a love scene and haven't had any time to work on it. Fortunately, Mr. 42 has a gig tonight, so I'll be in my happy writing place if all goes as planned.

By the by, I'm relatively new to LJ and relatively unlearned about fandom (two months ago, I'd never heard of fandom wank), so I was hoping you might be cajoled into directing me to the limerick competition you mentioned. (Cajole! Cajole! Cajole!) Having sustained only minor wounds in my 2004 limerick skirmish, I am anxious to throw my pen back into the ring.

Good luck to you surviving the angst! The only thing that offended me in Dogma was the poop demon. "Kevin Smith," quoth I, "you owe us better! Now what about a salsa shark demon?"

Happy writing! :-)
Yes, I totally agree with the admins making stories better!
The challenge was started by [livejournal.com profile] southernwitch69 and [livejournal.com profile] plaidpooka at Potter Place (http://groups.yahoo.com/potter_place), but I just saw the rules for the challenge are now posted on TPP forum: http://thepetulantpoetess.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=105
Am still waiting... Oh, the angst... it's consuming... *sigh*
