Yes, I think the red will have to be toned, too. In either purple or pink direction.
I'm feeling rather partial about pink right now. I received a plushy pink flamingo via owl post today from a dear friend and have been squeeing ever since. Finally, a flamingo all to myself. I'm feeling splendidly content presently. :-)
If you're thinking of the SSHG Exchange, no it isn't a clue. That wasn't me. I'm sure that was, erm, I better not say. :-)) You did guess me right on the exchange, though.
I only wrote a drabble on flamingoes.
Pink and turquoise... that could be very colorful!
Yes. I need to give this some thought. It might be screaming too loud. Alas, I'll have to see how vibrant the turquoise is, I think.
I thought maybe you wrote two pieces for the exchange. I was going to be even more impressed. I had thought it was someone else, but the plushie toy gave me pause!
The turquoise is pure, pure blue with no hint of red in it at all. It's really a beautiful color. It fades to an aqua.
Nah, I only wrote the one. And I'm still not happy about it. It was too rushed and too fluffy. I had written an answer to the Grangersnape100 challenge of "Severus needs a bath", in which I turned both into animagi *snicker*, that's where the flamingo theme is coming from.
I believe turquoise is the most pure colour. Like the sound of the vowel "A" is the most pure sound. :-)
What really got me in the end was that I could have asked for another week, I just never realised it was a possibility. I submitted by the original deadline. I did take the mistakes out when I re-read it as it was posted. But I'm still not happy with it. I don't know if I post it on archives. I probably will because I'm a review whore. I thrive on reviews.
The vowel A appears to go to the upper chakras. Whereas the vowel O appears to go to the lower chakras. I found this article quite enlightening and ringing somewhat true: http://www.whale.to/b/cb34.html
I don't have any of CBSwork's devices, but I was gifted some years ago with Carol Croft's Harmonic Protector and Pyramid, and I own a power wand, which I bartered with someone trusted. They were all brilliant aids, so to speak. :-)
I was a little surprised when she pressed me so hard to deliver the story by the 15th (I managed the 17th, barely,) but then it didn't post until a number of days later. I really could have used those days to polish it up. There are several mistakes I'd like to correct (as you know.)
Oh, well.
I'm fairly happy with my results, but I wouldn't post it to an archive or my lj as it is.
What a great article, thanks. I've been doing some chakra research in conjunction with the short stories I've been working on. This is very helpful.
I have several cleansed and re-imbued crystals in the house. I probably need to re-charge them.
Isn't research in the metaphysical (for lack of more suitable word) fascinating?
I had a friend once who had built her own crystal cave in her garden. It was tiny, barely big enough for two adults to sit in. But the inside walls were full of crystals and a narrow shelf that ran along the entire wall had various larger crystals and geodes displayed. The feeling inside was absolutely amazing. I envisage an entire room like that when I build my own Buckminster Fuller inspired dome. :-)
The crystal cave sounds amazing. What a remarkable experience.
I know a woman who has a teepee on her hill, and she uses it for meditation and occasionally for sweat lodge types of rituals. The energy in there is incredible.
When we add on to the house, I'll probably have a room in the guest house, and I can hardly wait.

I didn't know that about the vowel A being the most pure sound. ::ponders:: I wonder which chakra point corresponds to it.
