I just finished reading the story and looking up the pictures. The picts are absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful! WOW!!!!! I love the phoenixes. Excellent detail.
The writing was pretty good too. *snicker* Loved it!
Just so you know there was no insult intended with the writing comment. I always enjoy your stories. (Speaking of which...When will we get another chapter of Without Magic?) I just thought the art needed to be raved/squeed about. ;)
I didn't think there was. I just couldn't resist *snicker*
I have another few paragraphs to write on the latest chapter of WM, then I'll send it to NSS, so, hopefully sometime next week. I need to catch up with sleep first now that I'm back home.
You live in TX, don't you? Are you coming to Dallas next year?
Yes I live in TX, just outside of Corpus Christi, which is where I work. Depends on when it is. Do you know the dates? I couldn't make New Orleans, which is about the same driving distance (8-9 hours depending on when you hit Houston) than to Dallas (7.5-8ish depending on road work--some areas have been under construction for about 10 years or so) because of not being out of school yet. My boss/principal frowns on taking personal days in the last 3 weeks of school b/c the students are SOOOOO wild. (2 days and counting!!!!!)
I was rather frustrated by the fact that PR was scheduled when it was for that reason. Two weeks later and I would have been there. *sigh* I really wanted to go. *pout*
I can probably make it to July, unless I've got a workshop to attend the same time. (I'm going to be at a week long conference/workshop mid July this summer.)
*fingers crossed that the bossman doesn't get a bug up his butt like he did this year about summer training.*
*other fingers crossed that I can convince the hubby to let me go*
The Paintbrush and Quill Society was kind of weird at PR. The printed versions were available in the gallery room, but by the looks of it, not many people took the time to sit down and read them all (there were about 35-40 in total I think). There was no way to pimp the audio version really, so I had to wait impatiently until after the artists and authors met. But some people commented very positively on WIKTT on it, so I guess it's a good thing. :-)
And LJ is spazzing up like crazy. I have just discovered a whole lot of comments from days ago. Meh.
