... the keyboard placed close to the computer. No more need to shove it around all over the place.

... a centrally air conditioned home.

... a kitchen with enough working space to do proper cooking. *nods* The shrimp curry was divine.

... a Starbucks 2.5 miles away.

... one bookstore 2.5 miles, the other 15 miles away.

... 10 miles to go to the health food store which has an amazing variety of sprouts.

Yup, I'm one happy witch now that I sort of recovered from the stress that was The Move. ::makes note to self: do.not.ever.move.a.home.in.95.degrees.heat::

Aw, I'm sorry. Believe me, I know how you feel. We moved from Culture Central to the middle of nowhere in the Deep South! The highlight of the day was a visit to Walmart because they actually had more grocery choice than the other two tiny grocery stores. And bookstore and coffee were 90 miles away.

I don't mind the driving, but I don't take the humid heat very well, and I was suffering seriously, with the option of the room a/c blasting at such a volume that it hurt my head after a couple of minutes or sweating. *shrug* The main thing, though, is the proximity to the airport. With DB traveling in and out every other w/end and airlines being perpetually delayed by not just an hour but sometimes six hours and more as a rule, we really had to move closer to an airport. All the other perks are just side effects, LOL. :-)

Lucky you!!!!

I'm along the Texas coast--we consider it dry when the humidity is under 60%. I fully understand humid heat. It just sucks. I would take a dry heat (ala Arizona/New Mexico) over a humid heat b/c there, water will cool you off. Here it just creates more sweat. ;~)

The airport thing is understandable. I do live within about an hour of the airport--actually about 40 minutes, if there are no traffic snafus. Fortunately for me, none of my family have jobs that require distance traveling; although with the hubby's new job, he'll be driving more around the area. *sigh* And I bet your budget is thanking you for this move, as gas prices are moving up as much as they are.
