Hopelessly behind...

... is what I am in just about everything.
I'm behind in answering reviews. So fucking late I'm dreading the day I have time to answer because people will say, "WTF? Where did that come from?"
Behind, sort of, in the queue. Because at some stage I felt burnt out and couldn't make sense of sentences, so I figured it was better to simply give up and let others do the admin stuff.
Behind in packing. We're moving in just over two weeks. I've not even started yet. Have a few boxes, but that nowhere near covers the needs for boxes. Yes, yes, the move is only local, and we have this place until the end of October, but, srsly, once I'm out of here, I really have no interest in returning.
I'm whining now, but alas, you've read this far... or not. Dorkboy is leaving for California on Sunday. I am happy in the way that he's really, srsly moved up in the company, but I'm not happy that he's having to travel again, and long-term to boot. I can take California only in small doses and can hope that the earthquakes will only affect me if they're big. Otherwise I'm toast.
Yes to Azkatraz. I will register by about November I think.
And I think I need sleep now.

Date: 2008-09-13 04:35 am (UTC)Each time I've said I'll never move again, we moved within a year or two. So... I'm not gonna say it this time! LOL

Date: 2008-09-13 04:41 am (UTC)Yeah. The cost of living sux big-time in CA. I'm glad DB gets most of his expenses reimbursed...
packing and moving are the worst!

Date: 2008-09-13 04:46 am (UTC)Yeah, I don't exactly stress myself out over not doing stuff. As long as I can write and music, I'm essentially happy. :)

Date: 2008-09-13 03:56 am (UTC)Earthquakes happen rarely in CA. I've lived in SoCal now for 16 years. Been through one big one, a couple small ones. Really, they're better than tornadoes. (I grew up with those; believe me.)
Hope you're getting a nicer place!

Date: 2008-09-13 04:56 am (UTC)Oh, yeah, we'll miss mine. I'll have to make my own breakfast! *wails* I'm spoiled rotten, I know. On the other hand, it's one meal fewer to cook in the evenings. Not that I'll ahve much time for cooking; there'll be the run to and from the self-defense centre. Argh. Don't even want to think about that.

Date: 2008-09-13 04:49 am (UTC)No, earthquakes happen every day in CA. Big ones happen rarely. I live a good 200 miles from the New Madrid faultline, and I feel them from around 2.5. I don't want to think what my head would feel like in CA. Honestly.
I hear you on tornadoes, yup! We experienced our first one earlier this year, and it wasn't an experience I want repeated, really. Not even for being able to write a believable tornado scene... LOL

Date: 2008-09-13 02:10 pm (UTC)Tornadoes. You know, for that, I'm glad I don't live in Wisconsin anymore. I do miss a really good thunder storm. I always loved those. But tornadoes. I saw one once, a really picturesque one, about a mile from my house. (Luckily it was moving in a left to right direction.) It was scary and awesome (as in producing awe) at the same time.
