and and and... I should really start where I left off...

On Wednesday, the Lady_Joyous visited. I'm still on a high of seeing a good friend, and we just had so much to talk about that one afternoon simply wasn't enough. The boys were the same. They amazingly took off exactly where they left from six months ago and we didn't see them except when they were hungry or thirsty, LOL! I sincerely hope you'll visit again soonest, Lady_J, or that Dorkboy gets a job soonest so we can visit. It was just so so so so lovely to see you again. And our toys, boy, are we having fun! Little One plays with them, does role playing in different voices. And my scarf. Well, I know I look weird wearing a scarf in these temperatures, but heck who cares. It is just too beautiful to be left behind when I go out. Tell the boys from me they couldn't have chosen a better colour *grin*! Funny enough, The Scarf goes with my entire wardrobe! Sara hasn't come back or else I'd be able to give you a detailed account of Chinese Calligraphy projects!

Thursday went pretty much uneventful, except that Dorkboy had to re-fill the stoopid form for the unemployment benefit office because of some silly clause that states that if you have only "temporary housing" which is what we are in at present, considering that friends are putting us up, you are not eligible for anything. *Insert_loads_of_question_marks_here*. So anyways, in order for him to get more than the single allowance that we can't survive on right now (£56 a week - for a family of 4), he had to "pretend" that this is our permanent address. And of course, they wanted to see his ID yet again (this is England for goddess' sake! who needs to see ID's???) which he didn't have with him, because they know him ever so well in that office by now, so it was delayed by yet another day. I just hope that by sometime next week they might pay us some more. I mean, come on, £56 for a family of four is just a wee bit short of reality. Considering he's been docked 50% of his salary over the past 3 years or so, I think this is seriously taking the piss. But then that's the government. Who's warning the public now that "civil rights" are going to be lost in order to save us from "terrorists". Looking at the dates of terrorist attacks, I have a feeling they might be involved in it. And I'm starting to wonder what "Civil rights" they're taking away??? Most of them have been slowly eroded over the years anyways. Rant over.

Yesterday it finally rained. And I wrote some more. Have submitted a one shot original to the PP. Don't know if it'll get accepted. 'Outcast' is now about 4300 words, 'Tracero' must be close to 5000, with loads of notes. The rain did not reduce temperatures, by the way. It is still stuffy, despite some more rain today. And I won't even bother writing about our visit to the jumble sale at the German YMCA in London. The place is full of scaly ones and the rest of them let their religion hang out to the extent that anyone who doesn't follow it is an outcast. Oh well. The bus ride was pleasant enough and the rain even pleasanter. :-)
