The Cloak is done!
Feb. 28th, 2005 10:24 pmYippie, I'm feeling very accomplished right now. And smug. Probably until Bribbet gives a close look at my cloak and then I won't feel smug *shrugs*. But in the meantime, that smug feeling shall be staying...
And I've found a way to link pictures. Am definitely feeling clever, too!

Oops, sorry, haven't got a clue how to reduce the size of the picture. So... Not so clever after all *snicker*.
And here is one of the Dolphin Girl

Today was somewhat busy. This morning, we went to the local Homeschoolers' Meet, just Little One and me, as Sara preferred to sit at the local Starbucks inside Borders, pouring over books with the fascinating subject of psychology. Rebecca came around, so we took the bus together, and Kerry and Little One had a good time on the journey, while Rebecca and I chatted. Well. She mainly chatted. *smile* At the hall, Melinda gifted me some cassia Yogi Tea. Was I happy or what! I could give up caffeine now, happily. That Yogi Tea is a true gem, especially the original Indian one, with loads of cassia. The smell is divine, and if you add a few drops of lemon or lime, the taste is as well. It is very uplifting, too. The kids had a good time, playing Yu-Gi-Oh, pretending to be on Planet Bionicle, eating pineapple and grapes and pizza slices. We_who_pretend_to_be_grown_ups also had a good time chatting, snickering, complaining, exchanging experiences whilst sipping Yogi Tea, followed by coffee just so we wouldn't freeze to death. This cold spell is lasting way too long! But at least it was sunny today.
We got back home at around 2pm and I got straight down to the pinning. Then the sewing. Then the turning inside out. Then the hand stitching for the last bit. The only breaks I took were for emptying/filling the washing machine and making some hot dogs for Little One. The cloak was done at 7pm and I got down to ironing the seams. *Phew* Mission accomplished. Will have to consult with Bribbet about the fact that I'm not impressed with the hood. Too big. But that's for another day. Tomorrow is Phantom time. Luckily, Lady Joyous offered to create a diversion while I go rip Mme Giry's dress off *smug_grin*. So I might have that dress tomorrow *snicker*.
I'll get home very very late tomorrow, so won't be posting Phantom experience until Wednesday pm at the earliest probably.
