I haven't actually been into the city - I;m staying in Kaiserswerth and doing Reiki from 10-6. Last day today - it's been amazing. Learning about Byosen has been something of an eye-opener

Oh, wow. It sounds interesting. I'm assuming this workshop ends with an attunement? What degree are you aiming for?

My daughter said the same about the scanning. I rarely use it; I've seen colours around people all my life, and in my twenties I learned to make sense of them, so that's still easier for me than using my hands.

Do tell more about this. How many days in total and details. Pretty please. :)

I actually did my master's about 5 years ago - this was a master class but more influenced by the techniques he learned in Japan under a lady who was attuned by Dr Hayashi. I did however get another attunement which was very nice.
Byosen is more than scanning and in Japanese as opposed to the western reiki tradition, it's central to the whole thing. Hands can be left in the same position for an hour where you measure the reaction of the body to the reiki - and there's a sort of scale from heat (level 1) through to pain (level 5).
We've been treating a stroke victim this way for the past week - and her mobility (after being told she'd never walk again) has increased miraculously. It's really been very thought provoking - made me rethink a lot of what I've learned about reiki in the past.
